About The Position

The Shop Hand supports daily operations in the fabrication and maintenance shop. This role involves general labor, equipment organization, cleaning, material handling, and assisting skilled tradespeople as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, and safety-focused with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid Drivers License Required
• 1+ year of shop hand, yard hand, or general labor experience preferred
• 1+ year operating forklifts or skid steers
• Familiarity with shop tools and general safety procedures

Nice To Haves

• Experience with bumper-pull or gooseneck trailers
• Experience in industrial or oilfield environments is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform general shop labor and housekeeping duties.
• Pick up and deliver parts, tools, and materials using company vehicles.
• Assist with workspace prep and material organization.
• Operate forklifts and skid steers to move heavy material.
• Perform routine cleanup of tools, shop equipment, and work areas.
• Support basic equipment maintenance tasks.
• Help lift and move materials up to 75 lbs.
• Maintain tools and keep them organized and in safe working order.
• Assist with vehicle and trailer prep for jobs.
• Occasionally support field techs with equipment delivery or retrieval.
• Work on ladders or platforms up to 10 feet when needed.
• Maintain a team-oriented, can-do attitude and communicate clearly with supervisors.
