About The Position
The Shop Hand will aid in the performance of inspections, testing and preventative maintenance of company equipment supplied for rental and/or sale, and possible service of customer equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and Manlift equipment. (OJT provided)
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to operate hydraulic machinery. (OJT provided)
- Application of hand tools and power tools to perform disassembly, clean, repair and reassemble.
- Able to read, understand and interpret parts manuals as well as production orders with mechanical instructions.
- Ability to maintain work area clean and free from known hazards.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Pulling orders for delivery
- Assisting in inventory control, counts, reorganizations, etc.
- Operation of forklift
- Working with ERP system regarding inventory and order management
- Palletizing, prepping products for shipment
- Assist in load testing as needed
- Ensures accurate documentation is used throughout process. (bills of laden, packing slips, shipping manifests, and photos.)
- Supervises the accurate completion of shipping, packing, crating, and documentation, as per customer specs
- Pulling stock items for sales orders, staging orders for will call, ensuring local delivery and commercial carrier pick up
- Identify and count inbound purchase orders
- Unload/Load trucks for delivery/receiving
- Perform other functions as required
