About The Position

Cambium is a growth stage start-up using technology to make it easy to access material we normally waste, turning salvaged lumber into Carbon Smart Wood™. We recently closed a $18.5M Series A funding round to make it easier to buy, sell, and move fiber across the supply chain. It’s an exciting time of growth for Cambium, and we’re looking for ambitious, energetic people to join our mission. We are currently operating with a full crew, but Cambium is growing. We anticipate needing more hands on deck in our Baltimore shop as we scale our production of Carbon Smart Wood™ in the coming months. What A Role Would Look Like: While specific roles vary, most of our shop team members contribute in the following ways: Milling & Processing: Operating industrial equipment (table saws, planers, sanders, jointers) to process raw lumber into usable components. Assembly: Bringing pieces to life through precise assembly of finished goods. Shop Flow & Safety: Maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment while following standard operating procedures. R&D Support: Helping with prototypes or custom "one-off" builds for special projects. Team Contribution: Bringing a positive, "no-ego" attitude to the floor every day. Who We Look For: You have a background in woodworking, furniture making, or industrial fabrication. You’re comfortable in a shop or factory environment. You can read drawings, follow specs, and spot a quality issue before it leaves your station. You treat tools with respect and never cut corners on safety protocols. The Details Location: Halethorpe (Baltimore), MD Compensation: Competitive rates based on experience; specific ranges will be provided when active roles open. Timeline: This is a rolling application for future hires. We will keep your info on file and reach out as we expand the team.
