Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Manager, this role combines hands-on mechanical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality repairs, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on fleet maintenance or heavy equipment repair experience
• Ability to meet Premier's guidelines for driver eligibility/insurability
• Ability to read technical manuals and complete repair documentation in English

Nice To Haves

• Prior leadership or foreman experience preferred
• ASE Certification preferred
• CDL-A Driver’s License preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support shop technicians through daily direction, coaching, and hands-on training
• Assist with and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment, including semis, tractor trailers, loaders, skid steers, and mid-size trucks
• Coordinate daily shop workflow, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and complex repairs as needed
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulations
• Conduct quality control inspections and verify accuracy of completed work
• Support inventory management, parts ordering, and cost control efforts
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
• Assist in enforcing safety protocols and conducting shop safety meetings
• Collaborate with management to improve shop efficiency and address operational challenges
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
