About The Position

Main Duties & Responsibilities Primary Job Role Ensures that all team members conduct work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wears and enforces wearing proper personal protective equipment. Manage the assigned shop area and associated yard in an efficient manner as to minimize customer downtime and cost. Maintaining customer goodwill and good employee relations. Develop and maintain a cohesive team effort between all departments to achieve objectives of profitable growth, customer satisfaction, and a continuous improving of service operations. Interview, hire and coach technicians. Prioritize and assign work to meet customer's needs while maintaining a manageable work load. Assures service work flow is properly maintained. Maintains procedures to ensure a high level of quality for all repairs on equipment and components is a priority and no faulty work leaves shop. Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment, ensuring all shop inspections and contamination control guidelines are completed to meet company goals. Provides prompt assistance to parts and service salesmen in the preparation of quotes. Furnishes necessary technical advise to mechanics to keep shop warranty under Service department guidelines. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers as well as all Technicians. Ensures customers are notified of additional repairs deemed necessary. Ensures all open work orders are reviewed daily so no work order is open more than three days without just reason. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 7 or more years experience
  • Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs.
  • Successfully completed formal leadership training.
  • Experience in relevant service management.
