About The Position

THIS POSITION IS LOCATION IS GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN - FOX VALLEY METAL TECH Functions: Manage, develop, mentor, and train employees. Direct and coordinate production activities to maximize equipment and manpower efficiencies. Queue jobs for production based on due dates and assembly requirements. Coordinate the daily activities of production staff to ensure appropriate coverage, work instructions are provided if needed and information required to perform tasks are provided. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the manufacturing process. Resolve daily production concerns including equipment setup, nonconforming parts, and equipment maintenance. Support and drive improvements through corrective actions and continuous improvement. Support quoting process. Provide input and ideas towards parts and projects to assist in providing the most competitive price. Coordinate production schedule with the Operations Manager. Monitor availability of materials required to meet production schedule. Ensure that work is being performed in accordance to the job requirements and that all safety and ISO procedures are being followed. Support Lean Initiatives. Communicate with Sales Department to expedite job orders and resolve concerns including quality, specifications, and delivery deadlines. Provide support to maintenance technicians in the up-keep of equipment and maintenance records. Research and recommend the purchase of capital equipment including a cost analysis when needed. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing experience preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Must be able to carry out written, verbal or diagrammatic instructions; solve practical problems; perform basic arithmetic calculations; Use a variety of mechanic tools; and communicate effectively with others.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing experience preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read blue prints, proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, internet and email.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with working in an ISO 9000 quality System environment preferred.
