About The Position

The Shop Floor Leader/Installer at Manning Equipment is responsible for installing and servicing various types of truck bodies and equipment on new chassis cabs and pickup trucks. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to lead and assist other technicians with installation questions. Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• CDL A or B preferred but not required.
• Mid-level experience in truck equipment upfitting.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Electrical installation and testing experience.
• Mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Time management skills to manage own time and that of others.
• Ability to maintain safety standards in the facility.

Nice To Haves

• Crane experience and operation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install box and platform bodies, liftgates, PTO and pump, and other truck equipment.
• Serve as the first point of contact for other technicians regarding installation questions.
• Lead and manage installation tasks on the shop floor.
• Ensure top quality standards are maintained during installations.
• Operate shop machines and equipment safely and effectively.
• Read computer job orders and specifications to plan work procedures.
• Safely operate a variety of tools and equipment, including forklifts and saws.
• Follow and enforce safety procedures in the workplace.
