We are growing our team of Artisans and are seeking a Shop Coordinator to support our Maintenance team at the Houston Distribution Center (HDC). This role is responsible for the mechanical readiness, tracking, and organization of RTI Mechanical Rental Equipment at the Houston Distribution Center. You will own equipment tracking, maintain accurate and reliable data, and ensure work is executed with consistency and discipline. Your work will directly impact equipment availability, job readiness, and overall shop efficiency. This position plays a key role in ensuring operations run smoothly, equipment is ready when needed, and issues are identified and resolved before they impact the field. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, consistent execution, and the ability to maintain structured processes and accurate data. This role also supports daily and weekly scheduling of shop activities to ensure work is prioritized, coordinated, and executed efficiently.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, shop, or process-driven environment
Strong Excel skills required, including building and maintaining trackers, managing data accuracy, and organizing information for operational use; advanced proficiency preferred
Experience managing or maintaining equipment records, inventory, or similar systems
High attention to detail with a track record of maintaining accuracy and consistency in a fast-paced environment
Experience supporting scheduling, workload planning, or operational coordination
Ability to identify discrepancies in data or process and take action to resolve them
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to follow and enforce structured processes
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in a shop environment
Ability to operate a forklift and use hand tools
Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

Experience in equipment maintenance or mechanical operations
Experience with Lean, 5S, or process improvement environments
Experience using ERP systems or maintenance tracking platforms
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Valid U.S. Passport or ability to obtain one

Responsibilities

Own equipment readiness tracking and ensure all assets are properly documented, maintained, and ready for deployment
Maintain accurate and organized records across Excel and internal systems to ensure data is reliable and audit-ready
Coordinate daily shop priorities with supervisors and technicians to ensure work is completed on time and without gaps
Assign and track work tasks to drive timely and consistent execution across the shop
Ensure all maintenance, certification, and documentation is complete, accurate, and ready for audit
Own equipment data within D365/DynaRent, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and real-time visibility into readiness status
Coordinate daily and weekly scheduling of shop activities to ensure work is prioritized, aligned, and completed on time
Maintain structured, organized, and efficient equipment storage and staging areas
Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed at all times
Identify and close gaps in process, tracking, and execution before they impact operations
Support continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, accuracy, and consistency
Support scheduling adjustments based on equipment readiness, resource availability, and operational priorities
