Responsibilities and Expectations: As a Shop Clerk for IPS, you will apply innovative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, to compile and maintain records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment/tools, merchandise, or supplies stocked in the establishment by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

  • Receive the repair jobs in the shop.
  • Inspect equipment for damage and check all equipment documentation.
  • Ensure that all the job-related information taken by the truck drivers is properly documented.
  • Complete and submit proper repair documentation to the Customer Service Department.
  • Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks.
  • Prepare repaired equipment for delivery.
  • Schedule pick-up and delivery of customer equipment for repair.
  • Schedule maintenance of company trucks.
  • Hire outside trucking and crane services when required.
  • Records information such as name, address, equipment to be repaired, or service to be rendered.
  • Adhere to all company policies.
  • Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (especially eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, etc.).
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Report all injuries, near misses and accidents immediately to a supervisor.
  • All other duties as assigned.
