About The Position

PROCON is growing, and we are adding a Shop Associate to the team! If you are dependable, initiative-taking, and love a variety of different tasks every day, this could be the job for you! Our Shop Associates perform a variety of tasks related to organizing our shop, minor repairs of equipment, and deliveries of shop materials and equipment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in shop operations, field support, or construction coordination
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for a DOT medical card
  • Able to maintain, track, and organize tools and equipment across multiple job sites.
  • Experience with basic tool repair and vendor coordination
  • Experience with minor mechanic work on small engines and servicing.
  • Comfortable with basic computer use (invoicing, logging, email)
  • Physically able to move equipment and work in outdoor weather when needed.
  • Available for early or late shifts during company events or job-site needs.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with multiple teams.
  • Use billing software for logging and invoicing (training and computer provided)
  • High integrity with sound ethical judgment
  • Takes ownership and follows through on responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and pick up materials between suppliers, job sites, and the shop.
  • Maintain and inspect the rack-body truck, complete daily vehicle checklists, and the DOT logbook for long trips.
  • Track mileage and time per job for weekly billing.
  • Maintain and repair tools and small equipment (vacuums, heaters, ladders, etc.); coordinate external repairs with estimates when needed.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on small engine equipment (weed eaters, snow blowers, etc.)
  • Maintenance and small repairs on lull, ground heaters and diesel heaters.
  • Clean and inventory trailers upon return; notify Supers and PMs of usable leftover materials.
  • Source and deliver requested materials and equipment for Supers and PMs
  • Handle initial job mobilization deliveries (chairs, tables, first aid kits, electronics, etc.)
  • Maintain tool and equipment inventory by job site and by Super.
  • Submit monthly equipment rental invoices.
  • Keep shop, warehouse, and staging area clean and organized.
  • Remove trash weekly and schedule dumpster pickups.
  • Perform snow removal around shop entrances during storms (may require early arrival or late stay)
  • Assemble furniture (keyboard trays, shelving, etc.); assist with internal office moves.
  • Maintain and organize company archives; destroy outdated files only after approval; ensure boxes are labeled and files returned after use.
  • Help set up and take down company events.
