About The Position
This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard YARD, Industrial Department, Drydock/Shipwright Shop in Baltimore, MD. The role involves assisting journeymen Shipwrights or workers with tasks that involve the construction, repair, maintenance, overhaul, and conversion of a wide variety of types and sizes of marine crafts and vessels. Typical duties include using power and hand tools common to the Shipwright trade, getting tools and supplies, carrying materials, cleaning work areas, and assisting in positioning and securing structures for vessels.
