About The Position

Join our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama, as a Shipside Operations Specialist - Manufacturing Captain (Mid-Level or Experienced) and be at the forefront of cutting-edge defense manufacturing. We're looking for skilled professionals who are passionate about precision and innovation to help produce Boeing's Patriot Advanced Capability Seeker team — an integral part of the world's most advanced air defense system. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Operations environment.
  • 1+ years of experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and managing projects.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work any shift as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Level 3 Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci) experience.
  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military.
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership.
  • Experience using Shipside Action Tracker (SAT).
  • Active US security clearance.
  • Level 4 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Operations environment.
  • 3+ years of experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and managing projects.
  • Experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Use technical knowledge, understanding of process flow, and networking skills to ensure issues are addressed and resolved by responsible support organization.
  • Conduct assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria.
  • Analyze and interpret data.
  • Assist organizations in identifying reoccurring and high impact issues.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action plan to address reoccurring and high impact issues.
  • Facilitate ongoing coordination and tracking of open items.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced teammates.
  • Represent organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects.
  • Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
