About The Position

This position involves the operation of forklifts and hand-operated industrial lifts to move items within the facility and to load/unload trucks. A key part of the role is working in the cooler, which requires stacking boxes of products and moving items inside the facility.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand/walk 100% of the work day.
• Gripping and repetitive use of hands.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb steps.
• Must be comfortable working in organic conditions.
• Ability to operate forklifts and hand operated industrial lifts.

Responsibilities

• Stacks boxes of product, moves items inside the facility (Cooler).
• Operates powered and hand operated industrial lift trucks to move items safely throughout the facility and load/unload trucks (Forklift Operator).
• Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products.
• Physically inspects all packaging for condition and proper labeling.
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official.
• Abnormal situations would be: Product tampering, product adulteration, unauthorized employees in restricted areas, equipment malfunction that may put wholesomeness at stake.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
