About The Position

Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Shipping - 1st Shift. Roanoke, VA facility operates under Eaton's Electrical Sector providing products for Data Centers, Commercial Customers, Mining and Food & Beverage.​ The core hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $20.78 per hour.

The shipper prepares products for shipment and keeps record of outgoing products. Shippers will track packages through use of RF (Radio Frequency) units. Shippers must maintain a safe work environment, and meet quality standards for packaging materials.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Roanoke, VA (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lift products manually to place them on to pallet
• Communicate with coworkers to share expertise
• Follow safety procedures for equipment to reduce potential for accidents
• Examine products to ensure damaged products are not shipped
• Lift products to place them on to shelves
• Use box cutters to cut packaging materials
• Monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Lift products to place them into boxes
• Communicate with supervisors to resolve conflicts
• Understand quota requirements to accomplish expected production level
• Use RF (Radio Frequency) units to scan barcodes
