About The Position

The purpose of this position is to accurately transfer product, both physically and logically, into and/or out of warehouse locations, load/unload trailers, move product throughout the facility with powered industrial equipment, perform inventory counts as required and float to all different positions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Prefer one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Driving powered industrial equipment included but not limited to combi-lift, forklift, stand-up or walk behind may be a requirement for some Material Handler positions.
  • May require a commercial driver’s license Demonstrate complete knowledge of mission, value, and ethics statement.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect powered industrial equipment daily at the start of shift ensuring all safety features are operational.
  • Complete checklist documenting inspection.
  • Safe operation of powered industrial equipment, moving materials throughout the facility
  • Assure all materials shipped and warehoused are handled in a manner that prevents damage
  • Picks product from location based on information provided on pick tickets
  • Stacks boxes on appropriate pallet and places pallet out for next wave
  • Cleans work areas on daily basis
  • Keeps picking locations neat, orderly, and safe
  • May Load and unload trucks, warehouse products and materials
  • Verify all counts, quantities and descriptions of products and materials received, shipped, or warehoused
  • Service production lines, delivering product and/or components as requested
  • Timely and accurate completion of paperwork associated with the movement of product and materials
  • Perform regular inventory and cycle counts
  • Safely change forklift propane and/or charge batteries as needed
  • Empty shop waste and scrap containers when full
  • Package Material for shipping
  • Assist other departments as needed
  • Maintain regular attendance to prevent missing customer deadlines
  • Follow and practice MBW’s Safety Policies and OSHA regulations
