About The Position

The Shipping/Warehouse Associate at Martin Sprocket & Gear Inc. is responsible for efficiently managing the selection, packing, and shipment of mechanical power transmission components and material handling systems. Requirements

  • Proficiency in basic math and clear communication skills in English.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and position items up to 50 lbs (with assistance for heavier loads).
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to scheduled hours, adhering to timekeeping and other company procedures.
  • Comfortable standing and working in a non-climate-controlled environment for the entire shift.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse functions and general mechanical knowledge (preferred but not required).
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Attentive to detail, capable of determining correct shelf locations based on routing tickets.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately locate and select products from warehouse shelves or floor locations, following labeling or stamping guidelines.
  • Verify picked and packed items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare various machined products for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and securing items.
  • Operate powered narrow-aisle pickers safely and efficiently to retrieve products from different shelf heights.
  • Practice safe lifting techniques and seek assistance for items over 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and operate equipment following safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments or assist in different areas as needed to support overall operations.
