About The Position

Keeps a free flow of merchandise through the LTL line.

Requirements

  • None
  • Four to six months Retail Distribution Center or Warehouse Environment preferred.
  • Able to perform essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • These tasks required the ability to continuously lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 60 pounds and rarely lift and move up to 80 pounds.
  • The Team Member should have adequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing, occasional sitting, stooping and kneeling with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Team Member will be required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per Distribution Center requirements.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and management team.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers freight in a timely manner to correct trailers.
  • Scans all freight missed; turns in scan gun every half hour.
  • Delivers all freight to various locations including late freight, free astrays and Repack merchandise as priority.
  • Puts all cardboard and returned merchandise is designated place.
  • Records on the appropriate form any deviations from normal merchandise that comes down LTL line – double labels, late merchandise, no labels or bad labels.
  • Separates merchandise/cases by lane number.
  • Places free astray merchandise on a pallet to be separated by the following shift.
  • Ensures all trashcans are empty.
  • Ensures totes are picked off shipping dock.
  • Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety.
  • Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment within the Shipping department.
  • Follows all Company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
