Shipping Technician
About The Position
Responsible for picking and packing of customer orders, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Shipping Manager. Description: Accurately picks materials for customer orders and packs the materials for shipment Ensures compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and standard operating procedures Completes hazardous materials (DOT/IATA) training Processes/tracks customer orders in computer software, StarShip/Sage 100 (will train) Schedule freight shipments, when necessary Assists with investigation of customer complaints as related to shipping Assist with daily inventory counts and production when needed Assist with Investigation of customer complaints and any inventory discrepancies related to shipping Performs inventory adjustments Performs additional duties as required by Shipping Manager
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Simple math skills
- Lifting up to 50 lbs daily
- Keeping work area clean and orderly
- HS or GED required
- Time management/performs well under pressure
- Accuracy and efficiency are imperative
- Multi-tasking is 80% of the position
