About The Position

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Shipping Technician II (1st Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour. What you'll do: Eaton's Commercial Product Assemblies division is currently seeking a receiving clerk to join our team on 1st shift. This position is based at our Hodges, SC location. Hourly Rate starting at $18.00. Position Overview: The receiving clerk is responsible for unloading and verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders. They inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies and update inventory records accordingly. The clerk ensures proper storage and maintains accurate documentation of received goods. They collaborate with other departments to meet inventory needs and handle returns of unsatisfactory shipments. This role is crucial for maintaining an efficient flow of materials in the manufacturing process. In this function you will: You will support the supply chain materials process to fulfill customer requirements/orders by producing quality products, safely, in a timely manner following Standard Work.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • 6 months of experience operating a powered industrial vehicle (e.g., forklift)
  • 6 months of experience using hand and air tools Proven problem-solving skills.

  • Being flexible and open to changes in processes or tasks.
  • Able to work independently with minimum direction.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.
  • Sustainment of 5S+ in area.
  • Unload packages from incoming trucks and verify their contents against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Update inventory records as products are received and stored. Ensure accurate inventory counts and proper storage.
  • Maintain accurate records of received goods, including signing paperwork upon receipt and ensuring invoices are processed.
  • You will proactively identify opportunities for process improvement as well as complete root cause analysis in response to issues with quality or production.
  • You will be responsible for quality, including visual inspections of material before shipping, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.
  • Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments and development needs.
  • Identify special or non-standard conditions and notify supervision.
  • Execute all daily close out tasks for all incoming shipments.
  • You will use supply chain tracking systems to maintain inventory and use scanners to receive items from trucks.
  • Use material handling equipment to move product and supplies.
  • Assist other associates in shipping with material handling, storeroom, and shipping associates with crating, and boxing.
  • You will be responsible for communicating daily pass down information across shifts.
  • Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. May lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
