This individual will report to the Operations Manager and will manage all aspects of logistics in shipping and receiving of products and materials for the site.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience with Oracle based computer software.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Experience in manufacturing environment and/or logistics.
• Strong Customer Service Skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize needs of the site and department.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience in managing hourly employees.
• Rail industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the hourly shipping department and personnel in meeting daily and weekly shipping deadlines to customers.
• Responsible for carrier relationships and prioritization of shipments.
• Assist in resolving day to day operational issues for shipping and receiving related issues.
• Communicate directly with carriers, brokers, and internal and external customers.
• Supervise hourly employees assigned to shipping and receiving functions.
• Manage inventory levels of shipping related materials - pallets, containers, racks, protective wrapping, etc.
• Ensure customer shipment deadlines are met and resources are prioritized appropriately.
• Complete system transactions related to shipping and receiving of materials and goods.
• Maintain organization of completed orders and shipping staging areas.
• Organize and maintain long term finished goods storage racks.
• Continually look for opportunities and implement change to improve the shipping/receiving operations of the site.
