About The Position

Ameraflex Sealing Products (ASP) is a 60-year-old well-established gasket and supply company located in Deer Park, TX that services a wide range of customers within the industrial, petrochemical and OEM markets. We supply standard and custom gaskets and related items as well as proprietary products including SEALON®. We focus on providing top-tier customer service and adding value to relationships with our customers but also reflect that effort towards our employees through providing very competitive benefits and pay. The ideal candidate is an energetic individual, a team player, and can provide services necessary for the efficient operation of Ameraflex: This is an In-Person position with operating hours of M-F, 8AM-5PM. Requirements

  • Must have previous experience in shipping, logistics or warehouse management, including experience in a leadership or supervisory position
  • Must have previous working experience with hoses, gaskets and hydraulics in an industrial environment relating to the petrochemical and refining fields.
  • Must have previous experience handling high volume inbound and outbound distributions
  • Must have previous experience handling a significant amount of hot shot distributions
  • Proficient in shipping class codes, customs shipments (Canada, overseas) and claims (shipping) preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to stand, crouch and lift objects throughout a normal workday
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Moderate computer proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in shipping class codes, customs shipments (Canada, overseas) and claims (shipping) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manages and works alongside shipping department employees
  • Plan logistics of supply pickups
  • Schedule deliveries to end user
  • Track in route and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Inspect physical condition of the vehicles and shipping equipment according to checkup schedules and initiate appropriate actions to remedy unsatisfactory findings
  • Communicate directly with customer and coworkers as necessary to answer questions and relay shipping updates and with any discrepancies
  • Collaborate with sales team to ensure timely order fulfillment and accurate delivery
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers
  • Facilitate and resolve shipping complaints
  • Other duties as signed by Operations Manager
