Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Shipping Supervisor ensures the production of company products at the highest quality and at the lowest possible cost, meeting company policies and procedures. The Shipping Supervisor will act in a manner that is consistent with Gordon Aluminum’s Customer 1st Philosophy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. The general purpose of the Shipping Supervisor is to coordinate the daily workload, determines shipping schedules, and trains the shipping team in safety, accuracy, quality and efficiency. Ensures a clean and safe workplace for the entire department. Ensures the team is trained on the quality requirements for the parts handled. Responsible for time reporting, attendance, evaluations and disciplinary or corrective actions. Communicate effectively within the department as well as with the other production departments. Constant communications with customer service to provide superior service to our customers. Continually looking for opportunities for improvement. Be a great decision maker and lead by example.
