Sensient is growing!!! We are adding an experienced Shipping Supervisor to our warehouse/distribution team. This exciting role supports the Warehouse Manager in leading daily warehouse operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and finished goods within Sensient Colors’ distribution network. This Shipping Supervisor role oversees warehouse associates, ensures inventory integrity, drives safety and compliance, and supports reliable service to customers, production, and affiliate sites. The Supervisor is a hands-on leader who ensures disciplined execution on the floor and partners closely with Planning, Customer Service, Production and Quality to maintain service levels.

Requirements

  • Prior people leader experience and a proven record coaching, promoting safety, accountability, professionalism, and a positive work environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of material handling systems, warehouse operations, inventory management, and strategic planning.
  • Knowledge of FDA, DOT, and OSHA regulations and certifications.
  • Proven ability to manage customer deliveries and escalate risks early.

Nice To Haves

  • B.S. Degree is Supply Chain, Operations Management or General Business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, assign, and monitor daily tasks for warehouse associates (receiving, put-away, staging, picking, cycle counting, shipping).
  • Manage workload and labor allocation to meet outbound and inbound commitments. Resolve daily domestic and international shipping and freight issues.
  • Enforce safety policies, OSHA compliance, PPE requirements, and GMP standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely ERP (JDE) transactions for receipts, moves, adjustments, and shipments.
  • Partner with Planning and Customer Operations to resolve material availability issues. Maintain warehouse and distribution SOPs, including gap assessments and documentation updates.
