About The Position

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all shipping and receiving operations to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of all shipments. This role includes supervising a team of shipping clerks, maintaining proper documentation, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring all shipping procedures and safety standards are met.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a shipping or receiving role.
• Proven supervisory experience.
• Forklift experience required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Supervise and lead a team of shipping clerks.
• Verify accuracy of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Monitor shipping costs to ensure adherence to budgets.
• Communicate with carriers to coordinate shipment and delivery schedules.
• Resolve any issues related to shipping and receiving activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
