About The Position

Hubbard Supplyhouse is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our family-like atmosphere. We are a plumbing and irrigation supply house that also specializes in kitchen, bath, appliances, and lighting. We proudly serve local plumbers, builders, and homeowners in bringing beautiful and functional living spaces to life. The 2nd Shift Shipping Supervisor will increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by overseeing the safe, accurate, and timely processing of outgoing shipments during evening operations. This role directly manages the shipping team to ensure all orders are correctly staged, packed, and dispatched in alignment with company standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations before the close of daily operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-first environment, demonstrates strong leadership during high-volume evening workflows, and has a passion for customer service and operational excellence. This is a 2nd shift position, with scheduled hours from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or shipping-related position
  • Basic computer proficiency (ERP systems, shipping software, email)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead, train, and supervise a small team

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse or shipping role
  • Experience in plumbing supply, construction, or related distribution industry
  • Familiarity with freight carriers, shipping platforms, and route scheduling
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily shipping activities, including order staging, packing, and truck loading
  • Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against customer orders and packing slips
  • Maintain a clean, organized shipping area to support efficiency and safety
  • Ensure outgoing shipments are properly labeled and documented
  • Coordinate with delivery drivers and third-party carriers to ensure on-time dispatch
  • Lead, train, and support the shipping team by assigning tasks and monitoring performance
  • Reinforce company procedures, safety standards, and best practices
  • Promote a team-first and safety-conscious work environment
  • Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or priorities as needed to meet deadlines
  • Communicate with sales, counter staff, and warehouse management to resolve order issues
  • Notify appropriate teams of back-orders, shipment delays, or product shortages
  • Support inventory control efforts by reporting discrepancies and damaged products
