About The Position

Reporting to the department manager, the Supervisor, Warehouse will oversee daily warehouse and shipping operations in the plant. This role ensures efficient material handling, order fulfillment, inventory management, and shipping logistics while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of warehouse and shipping experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment; steel or pipe/tube industry experience is a plus.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Experience with ERP or WMS software preferred.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations, forklift operation, and warehouse safety best practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate material-handling equipment, and work in a fast-paced industrial setting.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and coach warehouse and shipping personnel to meet production and delivery goals.
  • Coordinate and oversee the timely loading, unloading, and dispatch of shipments, ensuring on-time delivery to customers.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, conducting cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper storage, staging, and movement of materials and finished products within the warehouse.
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, minimize errors, and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and warehouse activities using the company’s ERP or warehouse management system.
  • Work closely with production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the maintenance and proper operation of forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
