About The Position

The position involves directing and coordinating the activities of the Window Division's outbound warehousing and loading areas through delivery drivers, fleet dispatchers, and shipping support representatives. The role requires collaboration with the Shipping Manager and other supervisors to complete shipments and meet company goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education/experience required.
• Three years progressively responsible experience in a shipping/receiving environment in a manufacturing environment.
• Five years supervisory experience in transportation utilizing private fleet distribution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with critical deadlines.
• Skilled in time management and able to work independently.
• Ability to lead and direct individuals to accomplish department and company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the activities of fleet services.
• Ensure products are delivered on time and correctly, meeting or exceeding targeted goals.
• Maintain delivery efficiency rates at targeted levels.
• Supervise activities of fleet dispatcher and delivery drivers.
• Interface with shipping office, inside sales, production lines, and other departments to ensure delivery trucks are loaded and delivery times are met.
• Interact with customers to resolve complaints regarding handling damage, delivery times, and document accuracy.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings and ensure training of associates.
• Enforce company safety regulations and work closely with the Safety Specialist for ongoing safety improvements.
• Perform various administrative tasks including approving payroll and writing evaluations.
• Ensure accuracy of department inventories and order department supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
