About The Position

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the shipping department, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This includes reading and analyzing work orders, production schedules, and other records to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs. The supervisor will inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions and ensure that products are loaded onto trailers correctly and in a timely manner. Additionally, the supervisor will demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training. The role also involves observing work to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards, motivating and managing a large group of employees, and interpreting specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in Shipping.
• Able to work most Saturdays and some Sundays (50+ hrs/week).
• Past experience managing people.
• Great attendance.
• Highly motivated.

Responsibilities
