About The Position
The individual in this position will work under the supervision of the Supervisor and will conduct activities in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards. Shipping specialist ensures coordination of materials is shared between various departments such as Materials, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Accounting, and other departments to support successful and expedient product shipments and deliveries. Shipping specialist will document and process order shipments and work with transportation departments as well as vendors to ensure timely coordination of inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities will also include investigating and documenting all non-conformance issues and recommend corrective actions. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to maintaining inventory records, verification of quantities received against bills of lading and shipping documents, visually inspections, counts, etc.
