About The Position

This position is responsible for aiding the Receiving Supervisor in all aspects of the receiving tasks to be performed. This position will also assist production supervisors in ironing out any discrepancies found within the facility’s raw material inventory thru the receiving supervisor. When the receiving supervisor is absent, this position will ensure that orders are entered into the computer properly and that the BOL's are turned in at the end of their shift. This position will also be responsible for setting up receiving area, documenting, directing forklift drivers and confirming incoming WIP while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Team member in this position will be responsible for properly unloading trailers with pallets of products, weighing pallets of product, assisting with transporting pallets of product to/from the holding coolers, and unloading trailers of product from outside sources. Responsible for unloading of product on trailer and verifying trailer numbers, load numbers, sales order number, and customers. Must be capable of visually inspecting boxes of product. Must be willing to wash out trailers if necessary. Positions require the ability to push/pull/carry/lift to up 50 pounds. Must be willing to work in damp/cold or damp/hot environments, use of hands and arms above shoulder level and stand for 8 hours a day will be required. Must be willing to climb up and down stairs to get to/from the work areas. Must be able to obtain company forklift/pallet jack certification. Must be able to read, write and have a good basic knowledge of math. This position requires good communication skills to be able to communicate with members of management and QA on incoming WIP and communicate with the truck gate to keep track of all incoming trailers, call trailers in and break seals. This position will also be responsible for maintaining the lot and ensuring that trailers are unloaded in a timely manner and manifests are put on combos.

Requirements

  • 6 months of continuous work experience in the last 12 months
  • Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 180-day waiting period before you can reapply.
  • Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than two times.
  • Failed Drug Screen - if you had a failed drug screen, you must wait 6 months before reapplying.
  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner
