The Shipping Rover is responsible for preparing and performing packaging according to customer, contract, carrier, and in-house specifications. This role involves identifying and packaging completed parts, filing paperwork, and inspecting all documentation for accuracy before shipment. The Shipping Rover will mark parts prior to final inspection, coordinate with various departments, especially scheduling, to ensure on-time shipments, and work with packagers. Key tasks also include accurately scanning job orders into the computer and utilizing customer portals to process shipments as required by contract and customer demands. The position requires examining contents and comparing them with records, such as invoices, to verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments.
