About The Position

The Shipping Rover is responsible for preparing and performing packaging according to customer, contract, carrier, and in-house specifications. This role involves identifying and packaging completed parts, filing paperwork, and inspecting all documentation for accuracy before shipment. The Shipping Rover will mark parts prior to final inspection, coordinate with various departments, especially scheduling, to ensure on-time shipments, and work with packagers. Key tasks also include accurately scanning job orders into the computer and utilizing customer portals to process shipments as required by contract and customer demands. The position requires examining contents and comparing them with records, such as invoices, to verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments.

Responsibilities

Prepare and perform packaging as required by customer, contract, carrier and in-house specifications.
Identify and package completed parts, per customer specifications.
File paperwork in appropriate places.
Inspect and check all paperwork for accuracy prior to shipping any parts.
Mark all parts prior to final inspection.
Work with various departments, especially scheduling, to communicate schedule requirements for on-time shipment.
Coordinate with packagers.
Accurately scanning of job orders into the computer.
Work in customer portals to ship items as required by contract and customer requirements.
Examine contents and compare with records, such as invoices, to verify accuracy of outgoing shipments.
Identify and mark completed parts per customer specifications.
