Must be able to palletize and shrink wrap warehouse orders for shipment. Must be able to utilize UPS, Federal Express, etc., programs for shipment via computer systems. Fold/Roll Product to be boxed. Inspect & unload all sewn products, including both newly manufactured products and customer returns. (N. Lyles Ave location specific) Pull stock for shipment. Prepare hardware packs, support poles, truck tops, frames, and accessories for shipment (Foxy Rd location specific) Must maintain quality assurance standards. Must be able to communicate with the Supervisor or Manager to assist with problem solving. Housekeeping of all areas. Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.  Level 1 Team Member: Must receive all incoming packages and create receiving records for packages that have an RA number. Must be able to stock returned items in a timely manner, trace shipments via the computer and pick up packages at Customer Service.  Foxy Rd employees must also be able to prepare two of the following items for shipment – (hardware packs, frames, support poles, accessories, and truck tops).  N. Lyles Ave employees must be able to unload, fold, and roll tops and covers as delivered by the Eton system.  Level 2 Team Member: Responsible for all receiving through the SAGE system. Responsible for all cycle counts. Must be able to create records and maintain a log for all packages that are received without an RA number. Inspect received items for any defects such as sewing, fabric, dirt and stains.  Restocked items will be cleaned when applicable, refolded, proper accessories added and boxed for return to stock. Must be able to communicate effectively with Returns Representative to ensure that all return issues are resolved appropriately and in a timely manner. Foxy Rd employees must also be able to prepare all of the following items for shipment – (hardware packs, frames, support poles, accessories, and truck tops).  N. Lyles Ave employees must be able to perform all Packaging Area operations, as defined in the work instructions.  Level 3 Team Member: Responsible for coordinating the placement of pallets for outgoing material with the orders coming through production. Able to perform pallet label scanning functions necessary to properly transfer and ship all products. Able to perform all packaging duties according to the Standard Operating Procedures available at the packaging area. Preform daily PO receipts and daily issues. Assist with quarterly and year-end inventory. Assist in training and developing Level 1 & 2 team members.   Shipping Lead: Must have basic knowledge of all job functions within the department and be able to assist in all areas as needed.  Must count production work and report to supervisor. Must be able to train new shipping department personnel. Communicate with Supervisor to assist with problem solving and offer suggestions for continuous improvement. Setup daily workflow and assist department personnel in solving any work-in-process problems. Must be able to communicate with various shipping companies to schedule outgoing shipments. Responsible for knowing the location of all items within the department and can assist with locating them. Must fill in for Supervisor at meetings as needed. Must be able to assist with inventory. Will assist manager in handling all daily personnel issues.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must be able to understand instructions.
  • Knowledge of UPS and USPS procedures.
  • Computer literate.
  • Be able to be cross trained on all other positions.
  • A clean driving record is required for employees who may be responsible for driving the box truck between locations.
  • Employees may be asked to travel to the alternate location in Landrum depending on workload. Any travel during working hours will be considered paid time, and mileage will be reimbursed.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to bend, reach and stretch.
  • Must be able to work in moderate noise levels.
  • Must be able to walk or stand for entire shift.
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience and/or on the job training.
  • Must be able to pass a Forklift Certification Exam.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of previous shipping experience a plus.
