ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Unloads and loads trucks. Uncrates or unpacks items upon delivery to the facility. Inspects items for shipping damages, check items and accompanying paperwork against the purchase order or work order. Marks items and materials with applicable identification numbers, i.e.: PO, job, part numbers, and place on racks, shelves, or bins, recording exact location on copy of purchase order. Fills materials request for work orders, sales orders, tools or other stock items and distributes items to appropriate location either by hand or forklift. Ensures all quality documents go to QC with copy of purchase order and job number. Prepares materials for shipment according to shop order notifications or other specifications. Packs or crates materials for both domestic and international shipments according to OSI or customer specifications. Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Keeps the shelves, racks and overall warehouse area clean and the floor area open to forklift traffic Responsible for overall housekeeping of the warehouse storage area and dock Practices and demonstrates safety as outlined according to the OSI handbook Ensures that the parts the Material Handler pulls are correct and the quantity is what is needed for the sales order Performs other duties assigned by supervisor This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this position.
