Play a key role in preparing furniture for shipment from staging to final inspections, ensuring high-quality standards. All while working as part of a team that directly impacts the final presentation delivered to customers. Since 1971, Blockhouse has been designing, manufacturing, and installing custom, commercial-grade furniture for institutions including colleges, healthcare facilities, and the military. Works well with others in a collaborative warehouse environment
Shows up consistently and takes responsibility for getting the job done right
Comfortable with lifting, moving, and staying active throughout the day
Ensures products meet quality standards before shipment
Follows proper procedures to maintain a clean and safe workspace
Open to learning new skills, cross-training, and growing within the company

Nice To Haves

Warehouse or shipping/receiving experience
Forklift experience

Responsibilities

Perform final inspections on furniture to ensure quality and appearance standards are met
Stage products for shipment in an organized and efficient manner
Wrap furniture to protect it during transport
Load furniture onto trucks for delivery
Transport parts across the Mill and Factory buildings to the correct departments or storage locations
Handle a variety of furniture types, including upholstered pieces and wood casework
Lift and move heavy items throughout the day (up to 75 lbs.)
Follow safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe workspace
