About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving operations within the warehouse. This includes direct supervision of approximately 20 team members, ensuring compliance with safety and plant policies, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in accordance with GMP policies. The supervisor will also handle payroll verification, paperwork management, and assist in the training and writing of Warehouse SOPs. The role requires monitoring outgoing shipments to ensure quality and reporting any suspicious activities.

Requirements

• 1-3 years leadership experience, preferably in a supervisory role in a Shipping/Receiving operation or appropriate education as substitute
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Proven ability to learn complex database software
• Ability to multi-task & set priorities
• Demonstrated successful supervisory skills, writing skills, and creative problem-solving skills
• Dependability
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of assigned shipping and receiving staff (approximately 20 team members)
• Verify daily & weekly payroll time sheets for all employees in the department as assigned
• Responsible for daily & weekly paperwork such as attendance, vacation requests, disciplinary action, and shipping & receiving records
• Ability to become certified and operate all material handling equipment in the Shipping and Receiving Department
• Monitor outgoing trucks to ensure customers receive the best-looking product possible
• Comply with all written corporate safety & plant policies
• Assist in writing and training of Warehouse SOPs
• Responsible for Team Member compliance of all Warehouse SOPs
• Maintain cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies
• Follow written specifications for packaging & labeling of products
• Identify & report any suspicious situations to immediate supervisor or plant management
• Perform other duties as assigned
