About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist I is responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and delivery of incoming shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring timely distribution of packages. This role requires proficiency with tools such as CMMS, FedEx, UPS, Microsoft Outlook, and iPhones to process orders and communicate effectively. Support team operations and maintaining a high level of customer service. Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing required; must be comfortable with part-time driving responsibilities.
  • Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and taking direction as needed.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Comfortable with frequent lifting and physical activity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Package items using appropriate materials and containers (wooden, cardboard, or preassembled).
  • Unpack and examine deliveries, report and resolve discrepancies such as damages or shortages.
  • Adhere to customer-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for regulated processes.
  • Safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds; push loads up to 100 pounds using hand trucks or dollies.
  • Perform daily deliveries and pickups across designated locations using a company vehicle.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with shipping and receiving protocols.
