Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in shipping/receiving operations is preferred.
  • Prior forklift experience is preferred; proficiency in operating a 5000lb – 6000lb capacity propane or electric forklift is expected.
  • Must obtain company forklift certification within six months of hire/transfer.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is preferred.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Optilog, and SAP is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Competent reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere and collaborate effectively with colleagues, management, customers, and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and complete all shipping and receiving documents, including customs and co-packer paperwork.
  • Maintain and update the Digital Dock Tracker with all material movements and comprehensive related data.
  • Scan and file vendor receipts.
  • Dispatch carriers to appropriate dock doors to optimize loading and unloading.
  • Monitor and track all inbound and outbound materials (NFG's - Non-Finished Goods, Finished Goods) to and from internal/external warehouses and suppliers.
  • Monitor and track all outbound Recycling and Dunnage materials.
  • Create and monitor Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) for inbound and outbound NFG's and Finished Goods.
  • Monitor and track drop trailers.
  • Input trailer moves for replenishment of production lines.
  • Coordinate with forklift operators to ensure materials are delivered to the correct doors for each line.
  • Interface with the Traffic department and Customer Service to address order inquiries.
  • Maintain constant communication with distribution center teams regarding inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the QA department on quality-related issues.
  • Maintain effective communication with co-workers, management, customers, and clients.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
