About The Position

As a Shipping & Receiving Material Handler II you will move products in warehouses and manufacturing facility, either manually or using equipment or forklifts. Coordinate production by pulling inventory and moving stock and other materials to work centers to fulfill orders. Maintains warehouse organization in a manner that results in accurate inventory tracking and handling. Currently there is an opening for a Shipping & Receiving Material Handler II at our Corporate division on 1st shift: (8:00p - 4:00p. Monday - Friday)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Forklift experience required
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).

Responsibilities

  • Understands and performs the duties of a Material Handler I
  • Obtains material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities, ensuring that materials are always staged for timely production.
  • Process, verify, route, store, order, deliver, track and maintain various supplies and materials in accordance with preset inventory levels.
  • Maintain proper levels of materials and supplies in work center areas.
  • Performs routine cycle counts. 6. Communicate to supervisor’s material shortages and disposition of rejected materials.
  • Must apply basic mathematics to count, add, subtract, inventory parts and supplies.
  • Assists/leads problem solving when variance amounts are encountered.
  • Verify correct quantity, color, material, etc. of materials and/or supplies to be staged.
  • Prioritize work orders for production/shipping.
  • Performs receiving function of goods via the electronic data system and established SOP’s.
  • Perform daily inspection of hi-lo to verify safety and function and change battery as necessary and report issues to supervisors.
  • Monitor/Maintain labeling and traceability of incoming materials and components.
  • Read work orders, accurately identify and issue materials to SAP per SOP
  • Fill out defect/NCMR data in the electronic data system.
  • Assist other departments as necessary.
  • Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
  • Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods.
  • Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times and continually improves 5S. Assists and generates suggestions to improve handling and storage of materials/productions/items.
  • Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a CDL-A Driver’s License and Operate the Commercial Motor Vehicle used by Plascore Inc., if assigned to the Shipping & Receiving Department.
  • Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned
