This position is responsible for operating a forklift or pallet jack to load and unload trailers with the correct products for both receiving and shipping operations. The team member will ensure the right trailer is loaded or unloaded with the right product, verifying product accuracy through manifest checks and scanning. They will also handle unloading box room supplies as needed for box room operations and physically move products from staging areas to trailers or other designated locations, including the 2nd floor box room via forklift. Key responsibilities include: Operating forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Checking product and paperwork accuracy on loads and storing copies with delivery tickets for accurate load tracking. Using a scanner and tablet with Tyson software to input temperature checks after verifying product temperatures before placing products in coolers or loading onto trailers. Communicating continuously via radio with yard drivers regarding trailer needs, finished trailers, and other operational requirements. Visually inspecting trailers, pallets, plastic tops, and boxes for damage or quality issues. Maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Washing out trailers when necessary. Climbing stairs to access work areas as required. Physical requirements include the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds, work in damp, cold, or hot environments, use hands and arms above shoulder level, and stand for 10+ hours per day. Candidates must be able to obtain company forklift and pallet jack certification and possess good reading, writing, basic math skills, and strong communication abilities to effectively interact with management and Quality Assurance (QA) personnel.
