Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- 2+ Years of Shipping or Receiving experience required.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, AS400, and other PC based programs required.
- Intermediate math and critical thinking skills required.
- English written communication skills necessary.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours at a time required
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis
- Ability to consistently lift arms and work within full range of arm motion.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks required
Responsibilities
- Responsible leading team to ensure the safe preparation of product for outbound shipment utilizing manual labor, and pallet jacks on a frequent basis, and powered industrial trucks.
- Oversees receiving of product deliveries including inspecting quantity and quality of goods received and making decisions to accept or reject inbound shipments.
- Oversees shipment of products from plants, including examining shipment contents and compares against production reports and bills of lading.
- Oversees preparation of shipping and receiving documents accompanying shipments including packing lists, bills of lading, and all other required paperwork.
- Operates a powered industrial truck to assist in loading products on to commercial vehicles as necessary.
- Ensures all members of shipping and receiving team are working in a manner consistent with safe operation at all times.
- Performs all work in a safety first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
- Related tasks as requested by supervisor
