About The Position

This person will have professional mannerisms in order to delegate daily work and special projects to team members. Holds leadership skills including coordinating shipping/receiving paperwork, team training, production control, team building, correct behavior, cross training and guide team to success.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Experience in metals industry helpful.
• Ability to read, speak and write in the English language.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work effectively with common PC programs such as spreadsheets (Excel) and word processing (Word).
• Ability to learn mainframe program (Metalware).

Responsibilities

• Assigns duties and monitors work for accuracy and performance.
• Leads in scheduling orders, expediting critical shipments and maintaining on time performance.
• Establishes and maintains rapid turn around and short lead times.
• Manages routine cross training schedule to follow TW Corporate guidelines and promote a highly safe, efficient work environment.
• Supports Management in promoting and fostering a positive employee culture, a continuous improvement mindset and excellence in customer service.
• Provides work direction, both written and orally to the logistics team personnel.
• Addresses errors and complaints in a timely manner.
• Operates in supervisory role.
