Premier Automation is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Laborer to join our Monroeville, PA manufacturing team, where you will support logistics activities by preparing, packing, and handling large industrial control panels and electrical equipment. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in warehouse, shipping, or general labor roles who enjoy hands-on work and want to be part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or general labor preferred
  • Experience handling large, sensitive, or high-value equipment preferred
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials throughout the day
  • Comfortable handling oversized or heavy items safely
  • Experience operating a forklift, overhead crane, or similar equipment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when preparing shipments and completing documentation
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work with shipping or inventory systems
  • Team-oriented with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who can stay busy, take initiative, and support multiple areas as needed
  • Dependable with consistent attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs and remain active (standing, walking, bending, reaching) throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to safely handle large, heavy, or sensitive equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, pack, and secure large, sensitive electrical equipment for shipment
  • Palletize, crate, and shrink wrap materials to ensure safe transport
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, including oversized or heavy items
  • Stage and organize materials to support shipping and production schedules
  • Receive incoming materials and assist with checking and organizing deliveries
  • Verify shipments for accuracy, including part counts, labeling, and documentation
  • Accurately complete and maintain shipping and logistics documentation
  • Move materials throughout the facility to support shop and production needs
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts as needed
  • Maintain clean and organized shipping, receiving, and staging areas
  • Support general labor tasks across the facility, including shop cleanup and material handling
  • Work closely with operations and production teams to meet daily priorities and deadlines
