1st Shift Shipping & Receiving Handler
About The Position
Position Purpose: Performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks. Verify materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate departments/locations. Prepares items for shipment. Essential Functions: Ability to accurately pick and pack orders. Receive and accurately stock incoming shipments. Operate standup and sit-down Forklift. Load and unload shipments. Prepare shipment documents. Communicate effectively with Warehouse Personnel and Supervisor. Ability to maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Assist with assemblies. Ability to accurately Perform inventory/cycle counts. Organize, clean and maintain warehouse space. Work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or comparable experience
- 2-year minimum Forklift Experience (certified)
- Steel toe shoes
- Physical stamina and strength
- Handle heavy equipment
- Self-disciplined and self-motivated
- Excellent attendance
- Willingness to learn
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
