As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you’ll be part of our team in our Berea, Ohio plant. You’ll get to: Prepare documents such as bills of lading Correspond with order management as well as factory representatives to rectify problems so that customer needs dates can be met Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for transport Contact carrier representatives to make transport arrangements Organize distribution and shipping of merchandise: Make necessary verifications against documents, prepare the merchandise, move merchandise to the appropriate area, and handle customer pick-ups Assign, tag, and store received inventory to proper location Receive parts to stock that have come in from external suppliers Ensure products are properly packed and labeled Maintain safe and clean working area

  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for transport
  • Contact carrier representatives to make transport arrangements
  • Organize distribution and shipping of merchandise: Make necessary verifications against documents, prepare the merchandise, move merchandise to the appropriate area, and handle customer pick-ups
  • Assign, tag, and store received inventory to proper location
  • Receive parts to stock that have come in from external suppliers
  • Ensure products are properly packed and labeled
  • Maintain safe and clean working area
  • Experience : 6 months or more of Shipping and Receiving experience
  • Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
  • Knowledge of 5S principles including the ability to apply them to the work environment
  • Knowledge of procedures for safely lifting and/or moving packages up to 50 pounds in weight
  • Detail and data orientation
  • Effective process evaluation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi task in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal customers
  • Ability to accurately count and identify parts and verify with paper work
  • Ability to work well in a team setting and under immediate supervision
