Shipping & Receiving Clerk – JLL What this job involves: We are seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team in Creve Coeur, MO. In this role, you will be responsible for processing outbound shipments, packages, and freight at a client's site while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency. This position is essential to ensuring seamless logistics operations and directly contributes to JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional client service. You will work collaboratively with a team that values shared responsibility and operational excellence. What your day-to-day will look like:

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs. frequently throughout the workday.
  • Strong physical stamina and capability to perform manual labor tasks in a warehouse environment.
  • Team-player mindset with demonstrated strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to use computers and other information system technologies for daily operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling and safety protocols.
  • Experience operating electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
  • Basic understanding of work-order management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up, sort, process, load, ship, receive, unload, and deliver mail, packages, and freight in accordance with safety protocols and operational standards.
  • Inspect incoming items and promptly report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor to ensure quality control.
  • Utilize computers, handheld scanners, manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, platform trucks, and motor vehicles to accomplish daily tasks efficiently.
  • Create shipping labels and prepare packages and shipments (including chemicals) for delivery to appropriate destinations.
  • Unload packages and shipments from trucks and ensure proper handling and storage.
  • Maintain the work area, vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition while adhering to prescribed safety regulations.
  • Maintain shop, tools, and parts inventory; utilize work-order system for tracking and documentation; remove boxes and debris from building or storage areas as needed.
