About The Position

Unpack, examines and routes incoming shipments to defined location, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Move material to appropriate areas throughout the plant and document in accordance with established procedures. Retrieve excess/unused parts from assembly and adjust work orders to reflect accurate part usage. Pull parts, stage in designated shipping area, update appropriate software to reflect actions and pack parts for shipment to minimize damage during transit. Maintains inventory levels and notifies supervisor of potential shortages or inventory discrepancies. Review work orders and retrieve parts needed for assembly process and deliver to assembly area. Review kit work order, cut designated hosing and attach hose ends as defined Use appropriate software system to verify status of inventory. Maintain Shipping Supplies and notify supervisor when inventory is low. Review shipping instructions to determine standard processing or special processing. Identify International shipments, complete/obtain necessary paperwork and attach paperwork to shipment Review daily shipments and notify freight carrier of dimensions and weight of shipment. Greet walk in customers, assess need, and assist with pick up of orders. Process customer returns and update inventory levels in appropriate systems, as required. Perform Cycle Counts in accordance with established procedures. Inspect and perform forklift audit at the beginning and end of shift. Perform routine maintenance on forklift as required. Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain Forklift Certification
  • 6+ months of related work experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs
