  • Hi-lo certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months experience in receiving related field preferred
  • Industrial truck driving permit is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Performs alphanumeric data entry operations as required to receive all incoming materials into the inventory system with real time transactions.
  • Receives all small package shipments as required verifying incoming material against packing slip/purchase order for accuracy.
  • Investigation of supplier shipment discrepancies.
  • Report over/under shipments to supplier and supervisor for immediate resolution.
  • Performs other related material transaction activities as required.
  • Participates in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
  • Recommends measures to improve material handling methods, equipment performance, and quality of service.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Confers with supervisors and leads to coordinate activities of the department.
  • Coordinates efforts of receiving/warehouse process to ensure inventory accuracy, and ensure that the needs of vendors, customers and internal departments are met in a timely manner.
  • Conducts daily pre-shift meetings with personnel.
  • Participates in inventories and cycle count efforts.
  • Directly monitors employees in the warehouse and receiving.
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Understand responsibility for health and safety in the workplace.
  • Cooperate with OSHA MIOSHA inspectors.
  • Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Follow all safety rules.
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Report injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, property damage immediately.
  • Will not remove or make ineffective any protective device such as a guard, light curtain, etc.
  • Will not use or operate any machine or equipment that the employee is not trained to operate.
  • Will not use or operate any machine or equipment in a manner that may endanger any employee including themselves.
