About The Position

As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk you will be responsible for accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and products. This role ensures incoming and outgoing shipments are properly documented, verified, and processed in a timely manner while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production schedules. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and part numbers
  • Basic computer skills (ERP, inventory systems, Microsoft Excel/Outlook)
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Knowledge of inventory accuracy, lot control, and traceability
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in warehouse or production environments

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading
  • Identify and report discrepancies such as damage, missing, or incorrect materials
  • Properly label, tag, and record received materials in inventory systems
  • Coordinate with Quality, Purchasing, and Production on nonconforming material
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging
  • Create shipping documentation (packing slips, bills of lading, ASN, etc.)
  • Schedule pickups with carriers and verify shipment accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with customer, carrier, and regulatory shipping requirements
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP or warehouse management systems
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories
  • Move materials to proper storage or production locations
  • Keep warehouse areas organized and compliant with 5S and safety standards
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding material flow
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics and material handling
