About The Position

PRYER Aerospace is hiring for a Full Time Experienced Outside Process Shipping & Receiving Clerk. PRYER Aerospace is a leading provider of structural components, assemblies and kits to the aerospace industry. We specialize in the fabrication of complex sheet metal and machined components for commercial, corporate and military aircraft. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for finished goods inventory. Receives, stores, and distributes parts within Pryer. Outside Processing (OSP) Quality Support: Review and verify certifications from outside processing vendors (e.g., heat treatment, anodizing, passivation, NDT, coatings). Ensure all OSP vendors meet quality requirements, including NADCAP and customer-specific standards. Work with procurement and engineering to resolve nonconformances or documentation issues. Maintain tracking records and ensure timely turnaround of externally processed parts. Shipping & Receiving: Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and hardware for conformance to specifications, drawings, and purchase orders. Verify shipping documentation (e.g., C of C, packing slips, inspection reports). Conduct final inspections of completed products prior to shipment, ensuring packaging, labeling, and documentation meet aerospace standards. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse staff to maintain proper handling of aerospace parts and assemblies. Quality Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate inspection records and reports in accordance with AS9100/ISO standards. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming material. Assist in internal and external audits related to OSP, shipping, and receiving functions. Support continuous improvement initiatives in the supply chain quality process. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years of inspection experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001 and NADCAP quality systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret aerospace engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
  • Experience using both standard and metric measuring tools.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Heat Treat specifications and welding standards/requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand purchase orders and routers.
  • Experience with aerospace materials, tolerances, and specifications.
  • Experience handling both external and internal customers, building relationships and good customer service.
  • Experience driving trucks, both with manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Experience working with Purchase orders and routers.
  • Experience operating a forklift truck, pallet jack to move products around shipping and other departments as well as to load and unload trucks.
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems; knowledge of database software, MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and integration of technical data.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per shift).
  • Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25-50lbs regularly, and occasionally heavier weights with assistance.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to manufacturing environments, including moderate noise levels, vibrations, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required, Such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
