About The Position

BASIC FUNCTION: Under moderate supervision, verifies and keeps records on outgoing material. Performs tasks to ship, pick, store, load, and pack materials as needed. MAJOR DUTIES: Picks material for parts orders. Verifies identification of part and quantity required. Packs material for safe shipment to customers. Operates forklifts, hydraulic hand pallet trucks, and electric hoists to load and unload materials as needed. Prepares all necessary paperwork and documentation for the processing of work orders and the shipment of parts orders. Develops and maintains a good working relationship with all internal departments and with all outside suppliers and service providers. Cycle counts inventory as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• A thorough knowledge of material handling is required.
• Skills may be gained through on-the-job training and/or specialized training.
• Frequent climbing, bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 80 pounds) will be required.
• All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs.
• The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member.
• Performance will be measured on the function/duties described in the position description, accomplishments during the review period, and the methods/work skills used to achieve the goals.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the operation of forklifts, pallet trucks and electric hoists are preferred.
